NAME Tulbaghia ‘Jenny’ registered with KAVB 6/11/09
Summary
Many open Tulbaghia violacea crosses fall short of the mark, displaying rather washed out colours. This new hybrid has been selected for its very positive coloured violet-pink flowers of pleasing form in part due to the perianth segment overlapping, with recurved ivory-white suffused violet-pink scales. Held on 46 - 48 cm scapes, the 14 flowered umbels are approximately 6.5 cm in diameter, and held above slightly glaucous green linear foliage. In flower for a long period, June – September/October and named for my cousin Jennifer Roberts.
